Prince William Award for Conservation in Africa - Ekwoge Abwe (Cameroon)

From brokering alliances to remedy historical conflicts, to contesting logging plans in one of the largest intact rainforests in one of Africa’s biodiversity hotspots, Ekwoge Abwe has given a lifetime’s work to securing a better future for his country’s people and wildlife.

The Tusk Award for Conservation in Africa - Fanny Minesi (Democratic Republic of the Congo)

A determined advocate for nature and people, Fanny Minesi rescues endangered bonobos from poachers, gives them sanctuary, and rewilds them in the rainforests of the DRC

Tusk Wildlife Ranger Award - Jealous Mpofu (Zimbabwe)

A home-grown hero, Jealous has dedicated his working life to protecting the painted dogs in and around Hwange National Park. He knows each dog as an individual - they are “his dogs”.
