The Essential Guide to Any Motorcycle Traveler - Online Course: https://rtw-adventures.com/online-cou...
In this video, I will give you 5, very important tips on how to ride safely on long motorcycle trips For disclosure, I have to say that I am not a professional rider, riding instructor and everything I am about to say is based only on my experience. For some of you, this might sound like nothing, but in the last few years, I have been to more than 60 countries around the world, include some of the most challenging traffic conditions like Pakistan, India, Nepal, and Bangladesh. I have seen everything from very strict German riders to the unbelievable chaos in the countries I just mentioned. All of this gives me the confidence to stand in front of you and talk about it. I do believe that this might help someone to make the right choices. All right, enough talking, let's go back to the tips.

Number 1: Safety is an illusion!
I know that I have said this before, but it is so important that I have to say it again. There is no such thing as 100% safety and it doesn't matter how many years of experience you have or how many riding courses you completed. Every time you jump on the bike you are taking some risk. If you are aware of this you might look at things a bit different, for example to ware full gear all the time, ride always on your limits or skip some dangerous terrains.

Number 2: Adapt to the local conditions.
A great example I have from Pakistan and India. Everything you know about safe riding doesn't work there. You have to develop some new skills and adapt to the new conditions or you will have a problem, a big problem. You will be stuck for hours, maybe days or even cause some accidents.

Number 3: The most important is to come back safe in one piece.
This phrase needs to stick in your mind and always guide your future actions. Whenever you decide to make something stupid it will ask you? Is this moment fun worth to risk the whole trip? Stop looking for adventure, don't even worry about it, it will find you!

Number 4: Respect the motorcycle.
It doesn't matter what bike you have, how expensive, new or old it is. The rules apply to all brands and models. With one simple phrase treat it like a woman: Respect, love and take care!
For some of you this might sound a bit bizarre, but let me explain: With respect, I mean to know yours and your bike limits. With love, I mean to ride it on the way that will help you to complete the trip trouble-free. With take care, I mean to do the proper maintenance.

And my final tip number 5 is: The present makes the future!
I know that this sounds so philosophical, but if you follow me for a while you will know what kind of person I am. The situations that you might face on the trips are so many that it is almost impossible for someone to give you a simple instruction or manual. With this simple phrase: "The present makes the future!" I want you to focus on the moment, on what you have now. To enjoy the ride and appreciate the freedom you have. A freedom to travel, to meet people, to see the world! To forget about brands, models, religion, skin color or many others believe you have. Let your sixth sense to guide you and open your mind for the wonderful moments! Become a real motorcycle traveler!
All of this will help you to build the desired future!
