This piece is a conversation between Lord Rama and Hanuman. Before going to Lanka to meet Devi Sita, Hanuman comes to Rama. Rama tells him events from his and Sita's life and asks Hanuman to recite those to Sita if she asks who he is.
Rama says,
“At the request of a sage, I attacked the female demon Thaataka with my arrow and she fell like a pine tree. Tell her (Sita) this story”.
“She (Sita) trembled sadly when I told her not to come with me to exile in the dense forests. Later when I agreed and told her to come, she gave me a gentle smile”.
“Trouble started when she (Sita) requested me to catch the deer and give it to her".
