Carbon nanotube electronics tutorial

Описание к видео Carbon nanotube electronics tutorial

Future computer chips might be based on carbon nanotubes rather than silicon because of carbon nanotubes' exceptional properties. This scientific tutorial presentation provides an overview of (1) the opportunities and challenges underpinning carbon nanotube electronics, (2) a simple description of how a carbon nanotube-based field-effect transistor works, (3) the different types of carbon nanotube-based electronic devices that have been investigated so far, and (4) perspective on future fundamental research needed to make nanotube electronics commercially viable. This presentation was adapted from a presentation given by Prof. Mike Arnold of the University of Wisconsin-Madison (http://homepages.cae.wisc.edu/~arnold...) at the NT21 conference in June 2021 (https://nt21.rice.edu/).
