Orchard Kids // Jacob Encountered God// Based on Genesis 28

This Sunday we will follow Jacob as he travels back to Abraham's homeland in search of a wife and to flee from his brother. Even though, Jacob wasn't searching for God on his journey, God revealed Himself to Jacob in a dream. God is always the one who reveals Himself to us.

This lesson is a great reminder of God's love and protection. Jacob's dream helped him realize that the Lord was very near, watching over him and helping him along his way. Isn't it comforting to know that the Lord is near to us too, everywhere we go?

Jacob's dream also gives us a beautiful picture of Jesus himself. Jesus is the ladder of Jacob's dream. Jesus is the only way to Heaven. He made it possible for our sins to be forgiven and made the way for each of us.
