Anto RetroGamer Quick Plays: Robocop vs. The Terminator. SEGA Master System version (1993). Loosely based on the 1992 comic mini series of the same name, Robocop vs. The Terminator would see a release on a multitude of hardware. This also includes the better-known SEGA Mega Drive version, as well as having this version ported over to the SEGA Game Gear. The Master System version of Robocop vs. The Terminator was released only for PAL regions. Hence the 50Hz shown here.

Robocop vs. The Terminator on the Master System is a notably slower game to it's Mega Drive counterpart. Although the 8-bit versions predate it, they are similar in levels and gameplay. The Master System's limitations are notable in a limited number of colours, and basic audio, making it a condensed and simplified version which would be enhanced for later releases on more powerful hardware.

Robocop vs. The Terminator on the Game Gear is essentially a portable version of the Master System version. Obviously, the hardware capabilities are very similar, but the Game Gear had a higher number of colours to compensate for a smaller screen. Unlike the Master System version, Robocop vs. The Terminator would see a North American release on the Game Gear. Neither would get a Japanese release until the Mega Drive a year later.
