In July 2023, we spent 5 days traveling around the Italian Dolomites. These costs are per person traveling as a couple.

🚎 TRANSPORT: £124.02 // €146.77
The main chunk of this was spent on hiring a car and the petrol. We covered a lot of distance so it was the perfect way to travel around. There were a couple additional costs for bus tickets and car parks.

🏨 ACCOMMODATION: £281.56 // €333.20
We definitely splashed out on some of the accommodation here. The first night was a cheap Airbnb in Bolzano - which reflected the price 😬 Night 2 was one of the most scenic places I’ve stayed in on Seceda. We also finished with 2 nights in Cortina at a fairly nice hotel - close to the centre.
🍕 FOOD: £98.44 // €116.5
The Dolomites border both Italy and Austria, so the food is a combination of both. I tried some delicious local foods including Tris di knodl (speck, cheese and spinach), bauertoast, caprese, and an apple strudel to name a few. We also stocked up on plenty of snacks a few light lunches.

✈️ FLIGHTS: £245.08 // €290.03
We decided to splash out a little on this birthday trip and took a British Airways trip from Heathrow to Venice. We only had hand luggage, so no additional luggage costs.
🌊 ACTIVITIES: £81.97 // €97
The Dolomites have so many incredible views and hikes. A few are within national parks and have entrance fees. These costs covered the Tre Cime entry fee (twice), the Col Raiser gondola up Seceda, St John’s Church, and the boat rental on Lago di Braies.
🪙 OTHERS: £3.38 // €4
There were also a couple minor costs to cover tolls while driving.
