Описание к видео Tuberculosis Invasion | Animated Short Film

How does tuberculosis enter your body, then, what does your body do with it. How does the bacteria invade other tissues? This short animated piece follows tuberculosis bacilli as they enter the lungs and are subsequently transported to a nearby lymph node and transported to the bloodstream.

00:00 Tuberculosis bacteria in aerosolized saliva are inhaled into the lungs
00:17 An alveolar macrophage ingests the bacteria
00:39 The macrophage leaves the alveolar sac and makes its way to a nearby lymph vessel
00:51 The macrophage travels down the lymph vessel to a lymph node
01:07 The macrophage dies inside the lymph node, releasing the bacteria
01:17 Other macrophages ingest the bacteria
01:26 The body signals to contain the macrophages and bacteria in a granuloma (ball of cells)
01:39 One macrophage containing tuberculosis bacteria escapes the granuloma
01:47 The macrophage enters the bloodstream via a nearby blood vessel
