ইতিহাস সৃষ্টির করতে যাচ্ছে বাংলাদেশের সিনেমা “গোর”। সব ঠিক থাকলে দেশের ইতিহাসে প্রথম সিনেমা হিসেবে সরাসরি অস্কারের সেরা চলচ্চিত্র বিভাগে প্রতিযোগিতা করার সুযোগ পেতে যাচ্ছে গাজী রাকায়েত পরিচালিত এই সিনেমাটি। নতুন বছরের শুরুর দিনেই রাজধানীর মাল্টিপ্লেক্সগুলোতে মুক্তি পাচ্ছে সিনেমা “গোর”। যার ইংরেজি শিরোনাম “দ্যা গ্রেভ”। বিস্তারিত জানাচ্ছেন ফাতেমা কাউসার।
দেশের ইতিহাসে প্রথম ইংরেজি ও বাংলা ভাষায় নির্মিত পূর্ণদৈর্ঘ্য সিনেমা “গোর”। যেখানে দেখা যায় একজন গোর খাদক ৩০ বছর ধরে গোর খুঁড়ছে। গ্রাম বাংলার এক প্রান্ত থেকে আরেক প্রান্ত ভিক্ষা করে বেড়াচ্ছে। তার পাশাপাশি সংগ্রহ করছে মানুষের মৃত্যুর খবরও। মানবপ্রেমে ভরা এমন একজন গোর খাদককে নিয়েই এই সিনেমার প্রেক্ষাপট।
চট্টগ্রামের সিলভার স্ক্রিনের পর এবার রাজধানীতে মুক্তি পাচ্ছে গাজী রাকায়েত পরিচালিত এই সিনেমাটি। যার মূল চরিত্রেও অভিনয় করেছেন নির্মাতা নিজেই।
দেশের পর বিশ্ব পরিভ্রমণে রয়েছে গোর। ১৯ ফেব্রুয়ারী প্রদর্শিত হতে যাচ্ছে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের লস এঞ্জেলেস কাউন্টিতে। নির্মাতা জানান, সেখানে সাত দিন বাণিজ্যিকভাবে দেখাতে পারলে অস্কারের মূল প্রতিযোগিতায় লড়তে পারবে তার সিনেমা। যা হবে বাংলাদেশেল জন্য প্রথম।
গাজী রাকায়েত ও মেসৈুমী হামিদ ছাড়াও গোর চলচ্চিত্রে আরো অভিনয় করেছেন আশিউল ইসলাম, সুষমা সরকার, এ কে আজাদ সেতু, দীপান্বিতাসহ আরো অনেকে।
