രാമായണ കഥ കേട്ടുണരുന്ന കര്‍ക്കിടകമാസത്തിന്‍റെ പുണ്യനാളുകളില്‍ ശ്രീരാമ-ലക്ഷമണ- ഭരത-ശത്രുഘ്‌ന ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളില്‍ ഓരേ ദിവസം ദര്‍ശനം നടത്തുന്ന പൂര്‍വീകാചാരമാണ് നാലമ്പല ദര്‍ശനം എന്ന പേരീല്‍ പ്രശസ്തമായിട്ടുള്ളത്. നാലമ്പലം ദര്‍ശനം ഒരേ ദിവസം ഉച്ചപൂജയ്ക്കു മുമ്പ് പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കുന്നത് ഏറ്റവും ഉത്തമമാണെന്നുള്ള വിശ്വാസമാണ് രാമപുരത്തെ നാലമ്പല ദര്‍ശനത്തിന് പ്രാധാന്യമേറുവാന്‍ കാരണം. രാമായണം ഒരു പ്രാവശ്യം വായിക്കുന്നതിനു തുല്യമാണ് നാലമ്പല ദര്‍ശനം. ശ്രീരാമ ലക്ഷ്മണ ഭരത ശത്രുഘ്‌ന ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങള്‍ ഒരോ പ്രത്യേക സമയങ്ങളിൽ വേണം ദര്‍ശിക്കുവാൻ. മനസും ശരീരവും ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ച് പുതുവര്‍ഷത്തെ സമൃദ്ധിയിലേക്ക് വരവേല്‍ക്കാനും കൂടിയാണ് രാമായണമാസത്തില്‍ നാലമ്പല ദര്‍ശനം നടത്തുന്നത്. രാമന്റെ ദുഖം ശമിപ്പിച്ച മണ്ണെന്ന ഐതിഹ്യമുള്ള നാടാണ് കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ രാമപുരം ഗ്രാമം.കര്‍ക്കടക മാസത്തിലെ കൊടുംപേമാരിയിൽ ശ്രീരാമ, ലക്ഷമണ, ഭരത ശത്രുഘ്‌ന ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളാല്‍ ചുറ്റപ്പെട്ട ഈ ഗ്രാമത്തിന് അയോധ്യയുടെ ഭാവമാണ്. കര്‍ക്കിടകം പിറന്നതോടെ രാമപുരത്തിന്‍റെ പ്രഭാതങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് വൈകുണ്ഠത്തിന്‍റെ ചൈതന്യമാണ്. നാലമ്പലദര്‍ശന സുകൃതം തേടി നാടിന്‍റെ നാനാഭാഗത്തു നിന്നും രാമപുരത്തേക്ക് ഭക്തജനങ്ങൾ പ്രവഹിക്കുകയാണ്.

The reason why Nalampalam darshan at Ramapuram is so important is the belief that it is best to complete Nalampalam darshan on the same day before Uchapooja.Nalambala darshan is equivalent to reading Ramayana once. Sri Rama Lakshmana Bharata Shatrughna temples should be visited at specific times. Nalambala darshan is also performed in the month of Ramayana to purify the mind and body and bring prosperity in the new year.Ramapuram village in Kottayam district is the land of the legend of the land where Rama soothed his sorrows.
