After looking at the splits from my previous "insane luck runs" that died and comparing it to my new PB and it's starting to sink in just how unlikely this run was. On avg. I'd get one such run every 1h30m, but all of those runs still would only have great luck on like 1/4th, maybe pushing upwards of 1/3rd of the run. This PB has great luck all the way through with exception of the last split which had average luck. Not exactly astronomical odds by any means, but still pretty crazy to have THIS be the first PB after the 7:47

Having all that said though I haven't been grinding this a huge amount since I came back to this, so my sample size isn't the biggest. Although given what I've seen so far of how often I'm able to go close to gold on all these individual luck-based parts as well as from my IL practice, it definitely does feel like I skipped over 3-4 PBs to get this time

I'm very happy with how I played, never taking any significant losses to execution with the exception of Castle of Grief movement and missing the trigger to open the porkalator door on Gibbet, but that was only because I didn't know it was a thing as it had never happened to me in runs before when I did the door jump. It might have looked like I ate a lot of timeloss to the chaos serpents on Shadow Wood 1, but actually with that enemy RNG it most likely ended up being faster for me to wait for the slaughtaur blocking the staircase anyway

Castle of Grief got pretty shaky since I was getting nervous, particularly on the wall section; on top of the nervousness I was also taking some unusual body blocks which was getting me progressively more tilted, but for the more important sections I took no blocks so it ended up being a pretty decent castle despite me taking things slow. Given the overall RNG I'm sure I could have golded this one if I wasn't playing scared

MVP of the run was the Necropolis 2 clip, got really lucky with both enemy placement and the clip itself, feels especially nice too considering how it's very easy to just lose over 30s on this split to enemies refusing to behave. If the clip back in on the slaughtaur had been any faster it would have been in "unbeatable split" territory. Shame I didn't have the same luck on Dark Crucible clip, ended up losing ~10s to clipping into the ettin room

Very cool PB all in all, looks like for sub 7 you will need near-perfect luck for every single clip which is something that I don't really feel like grinding out, but definitely possible for whoever has the patience to grind this casino fiesta for like 2 weeks non-stop. Probably not going back to this run unless something new is found, happy to put it down with this :)
