Faux aquamarine - polymer clay tutorial - 048

Описание к видео Faux aquamarine - polymer clay tutorial - 048

This polymer clay gemstone imitation technique on how to obtain a faux aquamarine gives fairly realistic results. Of course, it is impossible to imitate the perfectly clear aquamarine, only the more cloudy/inclusions one.
Materials:
- Pardo translucent. I used Pardo because I like the better transparency, but I'm sure you can use Premo as well
- little amounts for tinting each of : Premo ultramarine, Souffle Robin's Egg, Premo ochre (ecru? I don't have the wrapping anymore), Premo 24 carat gold, Premo or Souffle black
- chalk pastels (white, light gray, light blue/or light lavender)
- Pearl Ex mica powders - white pearl and silver.
I am sorry I don't have the proper equiment to show you better in close-ups the micro-effects and grain in the faux stones.
Happy claying!
I buy my Premo and Pardo clays and many other supplies from PolyClay Play.
