Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has taken Nigeria's judiciary to the cleaners for corruption.
Obasanjo speaking at the Chinua Achebe Leadership Forum at Yale University in the United States expressed deep concerns over the state of judiciary in Nigeria.
He said the judiciary in Nigeria is a very pale version of its once internationally esteemed self. He said politicians are rigging elections openly and asked rivals to go to court because they are aware they have completely compromised the judiciary system. He noted that a number of judges are in the pocket of politicians and judgements are not by the rule of law but for the highest bidder.
