Yeah, this video about how Ranma 1/2 is being remade with DEI trans rights ideologies is outrage bait that doesn't exist. So, I thought I would get this crumb out of my beard. Why is DEI, LGBTQ, and social justice warrior outrage a thing? Because people like this create it by suggesting it exists where it doesn't. I don't think Takahashi Rumiko would be OK with her story being warped to fit some social agenda that didn't exist in her original story. But she has been promoting the re-release of the series a lot, and appears to be very proud of all the money she is making...

I say, lets wait and see. If the series is good, it will do well and will be approved for another season. If not, it will be buried under the weight of it's massive older brother from 30+ years ago.

I think it has been mostly faithful to the original. Only slight differences, so far, and nothing that screams DEI, or LGBTQ. Anyway, this fake outrage is getting old and tiresome. I hope it goes away like memes of the 90s before my grandkids come into this nonsense world.
