for the rice:
short grain rice/sushi rice, or other rice of choice
soy sauce, or more to taste
dark soy sauce, optional for colour
sugar, optional for a bit of sweetness
rice wine (optional)
vegetarian oyster sauce (or sub with more soy sauce)
sesame oil
water (equal part/1:1 ratio with the rice)

vegetables & protein (totally up to you!)
garlic
scallions
carrot
shiitake mushrooms
bok choy
edamame
vegan ham
bell pepper

to finish:
sesame seeds and green onions, for garnish
chili garlic sauce or chilli oil
