Hidaka Mainline Review ~ Train Simulator

The Hidaka Mainline is located on the island of Hokkaido in northern Japan. It runs near the coast from Tomakomai to Mukawa, but prior to major storm damage in 2015, trains continued for the full 146.5 kilometre-long route down to Samani. It's a lightly-used rural line that, sadly, didn't have enough passengers to warrant the rebuilding of the track past Mukawa.

Thanks to the efforts of Union Workshop, we can now explore part of this fascinating line - the 51.3 kilometre-long section from Tomakomai to Hidaka-Mombetsu, although this add-on is not without its flaws. Incidentally, this is my first attempt at reviewing a Japanese route in Train Simulator.
