Hacker RP73 Rebuild - 1972

Hacker radios were not sold in Australia so how this one ended up in my hands is unknown but it featured in the recent radio club auction haul video. This is a Hacker from the UK. It presents a few problems requiring some innovative thinking, I hope I am up to the task, transistor radios are not my forte.
Note: I incorrectly said this was from 1962, it is from 1972. I got 1962 in my head even knowing it was 1972... old age 🙄

My Digital Signal Generator:
The Signal Generator is a project kit from a local electronics magazine called Silicon Chip, there is a sister publication in the UK called Practical Electronics, it was featured in the April 2018 edition but mine has a oscilloscope function as well which I don't use. There may be a later edition in PE with that feature.
