দুর্বিন শাহ বাংলাদেশের একজন মরমী গীতিকবি, বাংলা লোক সাহিত্যের অন্যতম শ্রেষ্ঠ ভাষ্যকার,
বাউলসাধক। তিনি ১৩২৭ বঙ্গাব্দের ১৫ কার্তিক (১৯২০ খ্রিষ্টাব্দ এর ২ নভেম্বর) ছাতকের সুরমা
নদীর উত্তর পারে নোয়ারাই গ্রামের তারামনি টিলায় জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। এই তারামনি টিলা কালান্তরে
দুরবীন টিলা নামে পরিচিত হয়। তার পিতা সফাত আলি শাহ ছিলেন একজন সুফি সাধক এবং মা হাসিনা
বানু ছিলেন একজন পিরানী। ফলে সঙ্গীতচর্চার একটা পারিবারিক ঐতিহ্যেই তিনি বেড়ে উঠেছেন। তার
অধিকাংশ গানে সুফি ও মরমিবাদ যথেষ্টভাবে ফুটে উঠলেও এসবের বাইরে ভিন্ন মেজাজের অসংখ্য
গান লিখেছেন। তিনি ১৯৬৭ সালে প্রবাসী বাঙালিদের আমন্ত্রণে ইংল্যান্ড গিয়েছিলেন। অন্যতম সফর
সঙ্গী ছিলেন বাউলসাধক শাহ আবদুল করিম, সেখানে তার গানের কথা ও সুরে বিমোহিত হয়ে সঙ্গীত
প্রেমীরা তাকে ‘জ্ঞানের সাগর’ উপাধিতে ভূষিত করেন। অক্ষবাট চ্যানেল এ দেশের অন্যতম এই

Durbin Shah is a mystic lyric poet of Bangladesh, one of the greatest commentators of Bengali
folk literature, Baulsadhak. He was born on 15 Kartika 1327 (November 2, 1920 AD) at
Taramani Tila in Nowarai village north of Surma river in Chatak. Today this Taramani hill is
known as Durbin hill. His father Safat Ali Shah was a Sufi saint and mother Hasina Banu was a
Pirani.
As a result, he grew up in a musical family tradition. Sufism and mysticism are prominent in
most of his songs, but apart from these, he wrote numerous songs of different moods. He went to
England in 1967 at the invitation of expatriate Bengalis. One of the tour companions was Baul
sadhok Shah Abdul Karim, who was enthralled by his lyrics and melody, and music lovers
nicknamed him the 'GAYNER SAGAR'.Akshabat Channel presents the song Para gaye Bosot
