NCIRI Seminar Series:
A new initiative from the ARUA-Guild Cluster of Research Excellence (CoRE) on Interdisciplinary Peace.

Abstract:
Explore the research and impact of mine clearance on peacebuilding and development in Angola and Somaliland. The seminar will discuss:
- The interactions between Anti-vehicle Mines (AVM) clearance and long-term peacebuilding and development in Angola's Cuando Cubango and Huambo provinces.
- How mine clearance supports Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and infrastructure priorities, contributing to economic and physical reconstruction.
- The impact of mine clearance on peacebuilding and development in Somaliland, highlighting the roles of practitioners and policy actors locally and globally.
