The William T. Sherman House in Lancaster, Ohio

Tales of Southeastern Ohio was recently given a guided tour through the historic William T. Sherman house in Lancaster, Ohio by Laura Bullock, the Director of The Sherman House Museum.
This beautifully preserved home, the birthplace of General Sherman, is full of historic items not only from the Civil War but also furniture, artwork and memento's from the Sherman family from the years before, during and after the war. The Sherman House also offers a unique view into what daily life was like in the 1800's. We could only scratch the surface on our quick tour, but plan to visit The Sherman House for yourself and explore the history that it contains!
