UPDATE: Trying this with a lighter camera (the GH4) is not so simple. It´s VERY IMPORTANT to get lots of weight at the top of the unit, and then balance it with more weights at the base, to get the most stable footage.

I normally use this set-up for shots looking up. However, it also works really well for more standard shots (see 0:42). It can involve a bit of time to find exactly the right length to achieve this balance. If you can´t get it perfectly level, make sure the base plate is the end which is coming down.

I fly a heavier set-up, with 4 weights either side of the base - this also helps with the balance.
