LITHA harp music by Anne Crosby Gaudet (Marini 28-string harp)

The Celtic festival of Litha is celebrated on the summer solstice, which in the Northern Hemisphere was on June 21. Think of evening bonfires and beautiful sunshine. This was also the day that my new little Marini Made 28-string bass lap harp arrived, so the first composition that I wrote with this harp has been aptly named "Litha". It fits perfectly on 28 strings, highlighting the beautiful low F strings.

Also on June 21 my Mom reminded me that my childhood piano teacher would have been 100 years old! I wouldn't be doing the work that I do today without Hetty Jackson, so this piece is dedicated to her.

I had planned to do an outdoor video for this piece, as it seemed fitting to choose a beautiful location on a bright sunny day. But we have had such a long stretch of rain I decided to showcase the beautiful blue delphiniums and shasta daisies that we discovered at the nearby Meander River Farm this past weekend.
