So this is a video that I hope we can look back on in 5 years and see how I did in predicting the best 5 players from the 2018 NFL Draft.

Saquon Barkley is pictured in the thumbnail because he's the obvious choice for the best player from the 2018 NFL Draft, but I wanted to dig a little deeper for guys that I think have just as high of potential in the NFL...

1. Derwin James - 6’3” 216 lbs., Hand, Arm, Wingspan
Derwin James is going to be the next transcendent defensive player in the NFL. It might not be immediate, but once the mental side of the pro game catches up with his physical side, he's going to be one of the best safeties in the NFL. He's going to be the future prototype of what teams are looking for in the safety position. James only has 3 career interceptions as a Seminole, but he’s not just going to be a coverage safety and should make a huge impact behind the line of scrimmage.

2. DJ Moore - 6’0” 216 lbs., Hand, Arm, Wingspan
Maryland has never been known for their passing game, but I still don't know why it took so long for me to find out about DJ Moore, but after recommendation to watch film on Moore, I've developed a draft crush on him. I think he fits the future NFL passing game better than any WR in this draft. He reminds me of DeSean Jackson or Steve Smith; one of those feisty little guys that can stretch the field and make catches against solid coverage. He doesn't have the pure speed of Tyreek Hill, but he's not far behind. This guy had to play with a rotation at QB in 2017, but still produced on a weekly basis.

3. Tremaine Edmunds - 6’4” 4/8, 253 lbs, Hand 9 3/8, Arm 34 1/2, Wingspan 83
Tremaine Edmunds is another player that I was recommended to check out a couple years ago by a VT friend of mine, but naturally I waited until he was draft eligible. Tremaine Edmunds is a Frankenstein LB. He's got a size/speed combo that we haven't seen since I can remember. If he reminds you of a linebacker, please comment below who you think because I can't find a worthy comparison.

4. Sony Michel - 5’10” 5/8, 214 lbs, Hand: 9 1/8, Arm 31 1/4, Wingspan 73 5/8
Saquon Barkley would've been an easy pick at RB since he's probably the best overall player in this draft, but I wanted to pick someone under the radar with just as high of a ceiling. Sony Michel reminds me of quicker Clinton Portis: He's such a smooth and fluid runner and fits the spread offenses that are increasing in the NFL really well.

5. Lamar Jackson - 6’2” 216 lbs., Hand, Arm, Wingspan
Lamar Jackson being the best QB in this draft is entirely contingent on the situation he lands in. The ideal team should have a veteran in place, with an offensive minded coach, and this might be asking too much but preferably they would play in an indoor stadium. And that leaves... The Saints. Man, I'd love to see Sean Payton get his hands on Lamar Jackson and give him a year or two to let them get to know each other and see what kinds of plays Payton could cook up. Other teams that would be a good fit for Lamar Jackson would be the Dolphins, Jaguars (Just imagine... Jackson-Ville), Ravens, and the Steelers.
