Bryophyllum/ patharchatta
Brayophyllum pinnatum, also known as the life plant, miracle leaf, plant is a succulent plant.
Brayophyllum may sprout adventitious plantlets from the broken base of detached leaves. this plant and liked to give the baby plantlets. you can use as gifts to friends.
Leaves are thick, fleshy, curved in shape.
The plantlet adventitious buds appear, which produce roots, stems and leaves. When the plantlets fall to the ground, they root and can become larger plants.
In traditional medicine, the juice of the leaves is also used for kidney stones,
and cancer and as an infusion, and as a popular remedy for fevers. Against headaches, treatment for boil, urinary diseases.
SOIL:
soil should be well drained.
POTTING MIX:
1 part garden soil
1 part sand
1 part compost any (vermicompost, cow dung)
LIGHT: it leads very bright and direct sunlight.
WATER: it does not like too much of water ,give water only when upper 1 inch layer of soil feels dry because they are succulent type plant it they stored water in it, has route routing problem.
soil should not be soggy.
it does not face pest problem but if you see some pest then you can use Neem oil spray or soap solution spray.
propagation:
propagate it by leaf and stem cutting
