Darwyn Cooke offers a masterclass in understanding the punctuation and grammar of the comic page. So, taking a look at some pages from Cooke's The Score, we can see how he shows the graphic punctuation seen in the edge of panels, the end of tiers, and the end of the page. Each of those offers a version of the comma, hyphen or full-stop, to some degree, a forced pause for the reader, but also the creator.
