The recipe requires only a few ingredients like Ridge Gourd, Coriander seeds, cumin seeds, peanuts, garlic pods, green chilies, oil, coriander leaves, tomatoes, onions, turmeric, salt, tamarind, mustard, urad dal, chanadal, dry chilies, garlic, cumin seeds, curry leaves, hing which are all easily available ingredients in every house hold.

This Ridge Gourd Kothimeer chutney / Pickle recipe pairs with rice, dosa, chapati, and roti well. I am making large quantity which comes around 1/2 kilo. You can preserve the chutney for a week in the refrigerator.

Ingredients:

•400 gms Ridge Gourd
•2 tbsp Oil
•1.5 tbsp Coriander
•1 tsp Cumin
•2 tbsp Peanuts
•10-12 Garlic pods
•15-18 Green Chillies
•3 Ripe Tomatoes
•1 Large Onion cubes
•Big lemon size Tamarind(35-40gms)
•1 tsp Mustard
•1 tsp Urad dal
•1 tbsp Chana dal
•1/2 tsp Cumin
•2 Dry Chillies
•8-10 Garlic pods
•2 sprigs curry leaves
