Engineered to improve your business vehicle versatility. Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (iAWD) constantly monitors traction over changing surface conditions and adjusts settings to help improve handling and stability.

Combined with the standard Traction Control and Electronic Stability Control systems, Intelligent All-Wheel Drive delivers optimal traction in extreme conditions.

Additionally, the driver can manually select between different drive modes (including ‘Normal’, ‘Mud/Rut’, ‘Slippery’, ‘Tow/Haul’, and ‘Eco’) to suit the driving conditions.

The default ‘Normal’ mode improves handling in adverse weather. If the system detects any loss of grip from the rear wheels, it can redistribute up to 100% of the available torque between the front and rear axles for maximum traction.

The Ford Transit iAWD can improve vehicle stability when driving on uneven surfaces too. When driving in ‘Mud and Ruts’ mode, the system provides pre-emptive torque to the front and rear wheels.

And for more challenging situations, such as off-road or snow, ‘Mud and Ruts’ mode can also provide immediate drive power to the front and rear wheels, with equal torque to both sides, for the most demanding conditions.
