Most "synchronous" electronic impression pads/board start at $1200 and only go UP from there.
While the native app still needs some work (especially with things like auto pairing) it's perfectly serviceable but there's absolutely no reason to worry about messing with it since it's natively supported by the Peeksmith app. The only reason you might want to use it is if you have Pitata's other products like the Pitata Watch or Pitata Smart Printer, in which case the Pitata app acts as a hub for all of the effects to work together.

The whiteboard version of this synchronous board from Pitata does have extra challenges that something like the memo pad doesn't, i.e. dealing with the nibs and keeping them inked. For me it's about how much space I have in my case, I'd rather deal with a couple of nibs and expo markers to get away from creating a bunch of waste and constantly managing stacks of paper.

I had to give the board some some serious consideration and solve a couple of problems but for the price and the power of this system, it's well worth the investment of a couple of extra bucks and some elbow grease.
