Since Sept. 2023, Rockland County Consumer Protection says they have 15 open cases involving residents that total more than $200,000 for contractor work that either wasn't started or wasn’t finished. News 12 spoke with a Stony Point homeowner who paid Ace Roofing & Masonry a $9,000 deposit earlier this year to do work on the roof and front entrance. She told News 12 that the man seemed legit after meeting in person and checking out his website. He ended up not showing up.
