The World Is Too Much with Us by William Wordsworth | Explanation | Themes | Paraphrase | 👍 👍

Greetings, I am Muhammad Dilawar, a dedicated Lecturer in English at the Department of Management and Social Sciences, Abasyn University Islamabad Campus. My journey in the realm of English teaching commenced in 2018, and it has been both my profession and unwavering passion ever since.

Paraphrase:
We construct the materialistic world around us, a practice we have engaged in the past and will continue in the future. We exhaust our time and energy chasing material gains, often failing to appreciate Nature, surrendering our emotions to a feeble existence. Consider the sea, revealed under the moon, and the powerful winds, sometimes quiet like sleeping flowers. Despite the attraction of beautiful nature, we remain indifferent. We are out of harmony with Nature.
God Almighty! We are unable to appreciate Nature, so it would have been better if I had been a pagan rooted in an old belief system. In doing so, I might be standing in a meadow, envisioning moments that could lessen the sense of sadness. I might witness mythical figures like Proteus emerging from the sea or hear the sound of Triton's horn.
