Walt Disney World Railroad 2016: Steam Around the Magic Kingdom

Описание к видео Walt Disney World Railroad 2016: Steam Around the Magic Kingdom

On the afternoon of May 28, 2016 I visited the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. The park is surrounded by the 3ft gauge Walt Disney World Railroad, which takes guests on a "Grand Circle Tour" of the park from the entrance at Main Street USA, with stops in Frontierland and Fantasyland (formerly Mickey's Toontown). The railroad uses four steam locomotives, built by Baldwin for the United Railways of Yucatan. When Walt Disney World was being constructed, Roger Broggie and Earl Vilmer found them in Mexico and had them brought to Florida, where they were fully rebuilt as oil-burners and cosmetically modified to look like 19th-century American locomotives.
During my visit all three of the currently in-service locomotives were running: the Walter E. Disney, Roger E. Broggie, and the Roy O. Disney. The Lilly Belle had been out-of-service for restoration since 2010, but was returned to operation later in 2016.
