My steering line ended up wrapped around the bar after a kite crash, usually it pops free if you pull hard on the side with the wrap but in these conditions doing that was taking me for a ride. So I pulled the opposite line to even out the steering line tension but again, in these conditions that was a kin to reefing in the bar and when I lost the balance of keeping the kite on the water and it got back in to the air it launched me pretty hard. Thankfully my safety worked well.
