Join the EvRV family on our full-time RV journey across the USA as we tow our Rockwood Mini Lite 2519s with our Tesla Cybertruck to @SnowcatRidge Alpine Snow Park in Dade City, Florida (about 45 min north of Tampa)! We kept the post-Christmas holiday vibes going strong with real snow in Florida — epic tubing down the 60-ft Snowy Slopes (double tubes, 10-person group rides with that fun jump at the end), sunset-to-night magic with synchronized lights and music, outdoor ice skating on the Crystal Ribbon (my son's first time — full of laughs and a bit of chaos!), the freezing Arctic Igloo for snowball fights and snow play, fire pits, s'mores, hot cocoa, churros, pizza, and lingering Christmas decorations.
We snagged unlimited tubing + VIP Fast Pass (no rush, shorter lines — highly recommend!), timed it for afternoon/evening to catch the glow-up after sunset, and had a blast overall. Florida's only alpine snow park is a must for family winter fun!
We stayed nearby at Sun Outdoors Blueberry Hill RV Community (full hookups under $55/night, nice pool/shuffleboard, but transient sites were tight near the road with some traffic noise and pet area cleanup issues — solid quick stop off I-75, but we're excited for quieter Florida State Parks next like Manatee Springs and Ochlockonee River!).
