From what I've researched, it looks like tach failure for the electronic Pajero tachometer is about 60% internal gauge wires (seen in video), 30% injector pump mounted sensor and 10% bad connection somewhere in between. I found a few weak or open circuits.

If you can't fix your tach with what you see in this video, then you simply need to change your sensor at the injector pump.
