“Why Are You Shouting Like A Commando?”, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar Gets Furious In Rajya Sabha

Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar strongly criticized the Opposition on Saturday for disrupting parliamentary discussions on the Bharat Ratna award for former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh. Dhankhar, visibly frustrated, attempted to restore order in the house and urged Opposition members, including Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, to calm down, questioning Ramesh with, "Why are you shouting like a commando?"

Earlier, during the proceedings, the Opposition objected when RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary was permitted to speak about his grandfather receiving the Bharat Ratna Award from VP Dhankar.

In response to the objections, Dhankar called out Rajya Sabha Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge, stating, "Either control your people or rise and address the house."
