Large groups of protesters, primarily women, took to the streets of the Indian capital New Delhi on December 2, 2019, to demand justice for a 27-year-old veterinary surgeon who was gang-raped and murdered. The victim’s charred body was reportedly found in the southern city of Hyderabad on November 28 after she was gang-raped and murdered. Protesters demand that authorities quickly prosecute four men who have been detained in connection with the case.
