BEST HIKES IN IDAHO | Sawtooth Lake, Stanley ID

THIS HIKE IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! Wow, wow, wow. 10 miles round trip, beautiful scenery the entire way, multiple alpine lakes, and even a swim in the freezing cold Sawtooth Lake at the top. Completed this hike on July 15, 2021 We came equipped with our bear spray, you'll have to watch the whole video to see if we had to use it or not! Eeeeeek. Overall this trail was on the longer side but fairly moderate. It did get much steeper toward the top and you're doing some more switchbacks which add to the difficulty some. But overall, if you pace yourself well and go either when the weather is cooler or early in the morning before the sun gets too hot, you'll be golden. It's a magical experience. I've done A LOT of hiking in my life and I think this has been my favorite trail yet. Highly recommend if you're planning a visit to the gorgeous state of Idaho. We started right around 9am and finished sometime between 3-3:30pm so it was around a 6 hour day. We took several breaks and spent plenty of time exploring the lake areas, and swimming :) I wouldn't suggest rushing through this one - there's too much to see.
