I bought the Wemo Mini Smart Plug and really liked how small it is but I had to figure out how to get it to work. After that it was good.

I thought this review would be easy smart home automation device review but I ran into some connection issues.

The reason it didn't work was because of the old firmware it came with. I also had to turn off data on my phone, turn on airplane mode, then only turned on wifi while in airplane mode. Once it's finally connected to my network and I found how to update it, it worked just as advertised.

After that the Wemo Mini Smart Plug worked great and even remembered my setting after it lost power when unplugged.

Would I get another Wemo Mini? I would because I have the patience and the how to fix it. I got the Wemo Mini at a great price of $20 dollars at the time.
