Towels in the kitchen are always in business, while cooking it takes 2-3 pieces. It is necessary to wipe your hands, and take up a hot pot, wipe off the splashes. After washing, it is no longer a snow-white towel, but covered with stains that are very difficult to remove.
But towels for the kitchen can be sewn for beauty and decoration and hang it on the handle of the oven. It will also be a good gift for a friend or a loved one. Such a towel can be shaped, for example, in the form of a dress. It's easy to sew such a thing.
You will need a new waffle towel, and if it is with embroidery, then even better. You will also need calico, lace and ribbons.
1) Before starting work, you need to make a pattern. To do this, take an A4 sheet and fold it in four. Mark 3 cm marks for the neck and 2x9 cm for the sleeves.
2) Next, I doubled up the calico and transferred the pattern to it.
3) Now I have stitched the neck, made incisions and turned it out.
4) I rolled one side of the dress into a tube, and covered it with the other side, the twisted part was inside. Stitched, made incisions in the corners.
5) Turned out, the seams were inside. The same thing was done on the other side.
6) Where the sleeves are, I have attached lace. The yoke can be decorated in any way.
7) The open sections on the "waist" were turned inwards by 1 cm.
8) Towels cut in half, it is already hemmed on all sides. Folded the folds.
9) Put a lush "skirt" in the dress and stitched. I attached the second part of the towel on the other side. Instead of folds, you can make an assembly.
10) It remains to attach the ribbons on both sides, which will be tied into a bow.
What are these towels for? Of course, not to keep your hands clean, but for decoration.
