Removing the bogie from the Hornby Mallard Tender | oorail.com

Описание к видео Removing the bogie from the Hornby Mallard Tender | oorail.com

This video shows you how to remove the bogie from the Hornby A4 Mallard, R.305 / R.350, however it will work with any A4 that requires service sheet 118. These A4 tenders contain a ring field motor in the tender.

This video is one of the most requested videos from viewers on this channel and I found out why. This is normally a very easy task, however as you will see in the video it took me almost an hour to remove the bogie.

My advice, if you don't need to do this, don't. However when editing the video I noticed that the rear driving axle of the tender was higher than the others. The problem seems to be with the metal chassis not being quite right and the plastic warping slightly over time making it difficult to remove the tender, but also forcing the rear wheels (attached to the motor) rise upwards.
