Shakti Peetha -[Hindi with English CC]

The question is how many Shakti Peethas are there and what is the best Shakti Peetha? There is a sutra in Lalita Sahasranamam that Mother Divine has fifty peethas. It is also written in the scriptures that when Lord Shiva took Ma Sati, it is said that there were fifty -two peethas as well. A disciple once asked his Guru that what is the best move in the game of chess. The Guru said that it is not that one best move works everywhere. It all depends upon the circumstances you are in your game. Similarly, which peetha is the best depends upon which sadhana you are doing. If you are doing the sadhana of Ma tripundari then kamakhya is the best peetha. However, going to the peetha does not mean that if you go to the respective peetha, your work is done. In today’s world, some peethas are so commercialized that sometimes you question the faith.
