MALLIKARJUNA Jyotirlinga story of origin

Located in Srisailam, Andhra Pradesh is the Mallikarjun Jyotirlinga. It is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of lord Shiva and is a very ancient place of worship for the devotees of Lord Shiva. It is unique due to the fact that both Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati are present here as the Jyotirlinga. So, here is a story which is found in the fifteenth chapter of kotirudra samhita of the Shiv Mahapurana.
