The first coin in the new "Nautical Ounce" series from Rwanda. The coin carries the relief of the Santa Maria ship in the restless sea. Coin was issued at the 525th anniversary of the arrival of Christopher Columbus to America.

America. Above it is a compass with the sides of the sky markings and some sea equipment. In the waves of the turbulent sea under the ship is the inscription "Santa Maria". Around the ship there is also the inscription "NAUTICAL OUNCE", year of forging 2017 and information of weight and composition of the coin - "1oz FINE SILVER 999".
The other side of the coin carries coat of arms of the Republic of Rwanda and the nominal value.

Coins will be minted only in the period from August 2017 to March 2018. The number of minted specimens will depend on demand and is not yet known.
