It’s hard to describe the joy and the rush I receive when finding this absolute delicacy, and that’s before it’s even blessed me with it’s medicinal benefits!

This mushroom has a long history of use in folk medicine, especially in Europe. It is known for fighting infections. It has a history of being dried and powdered, then used as snuff! Some of the medicinal properties of chicken of the woods are listed below;

This is the closest thing I’ve ever eaten that resembles real chicken meat in texture and flavour. It’s truly divine, you can make it your own with the choice of seasoning.

A safe mushroom to forage for the novice forager as the other similar look-alikes are also medicinal and edible. Do make sure it’s in good condition, such as feeling spongey and flesh like with a rich orange colour still. Older specimens become tough and pale and tend to leave you a little gassy.
