Gracie Joy’s tiny Heart Journey

Having a perfect beautiful baby with Down syndrome and half a heart makes life an exciting adventure. We are working hard to increase awareness and raise funding for Down syndrome and congenital heart defects so our Grace Joy has a chance to live a long happy life. We were touched by many charities and foundations and would like to help support them.

Saving tiny Hearts Society- https://savingtinyhearts.org/
They provide funding for life saving CHD research. The founders have a son with a complex heart defect that typically can't survive with into adulthood.They sent us a gift card to help with groceries and basic needs after Gracie was born.

Zion’s Army- https://zionsarmy.net/
They provide funding for Down syndrome and life saving CHD research. They sent us a beautiful 1st birthday basket for Gracie and it meant so much to us since their son Zion left this world before his 1st birthday.

Jackson Chance Foundation- https://www.jacksonchance.org/
They remove the huge financial burden of Chicago parking fees to parents with children in the NICU at Lurie's Hospital. They gave us the flexibility to spend more time with our Gracie during our 45 day hospital stay. The founder's son left this world after 10 long months in the NICU at Luries.

Ronald McDonald House Charities https://rmhccni.org/
They provide families with a bed, food and comfort while their child is recovering in the Hospital. We stayed at the Ronald McDonald House when Gracie was recovering from all of open hearts surgeries.

Stuffed Love-   / stuffedlove  
They provide hand sewn stuffed pillows & distributing them to veterans, seniors, disabled, homeless, sick & children in hospitals. CHD advocate for PCHA.
They provided us with sweet little heart pillows that I could put my scent on to give Gracie when I could not be there to hold her. You can see them throughout the video.

They raise money to purchase little gifts for children in the Cardiac Care Intensive Unit at Lurie's Hospital during the Holiday season. We were not in CCU during the holidays so with a grateful heart we would like help those that have to be there.
Plus, the founder hand sews hearts for Stuffed Love.
