In this video University of Chicago neuroscience professor, Peggy Mason PhD gives the first of four brief lessons on how she dissects a human brain. She is joined by her Chicago Brain Buddies co-host comedian and Chicago Society for Neuroscience comedian-in-residence Aaron Freeman for a bit of fun science education. Dr. Mason is a professor of neurobiology at the University of Chicago and here gives us a basic intro into the wild world of the three pounds of fatty tissue that is arguably the most important and complex organ in our bodies. Dr. Mason is also well-known for her research into rat empathy.
