For more than the past ten years, I've been lucky enough to be a friend of Jeffrey Rogers, known on the Internet as "The Culinary Fanatic." Jeff, of course, is known for his famous macaroni and cheese recipe, which definitely earns its name of "The Ultimate Mac and Cheese." I think the beginning of April is the best time to reveal how I made his "Ultimate" mac and cheese recipe...and hopefully he'll forgive me for this. Actually, I'm not worried at all about him being upset, and I'm simply playing an April Fool's Joke on my friend. However, this macaroni and cheese is certainly no joke! It's good enough that I haven't even bothered putting together my own mac and cheese recipe -- there's no reason to do so when Jeff's recipe knocks it out of the park! Whether you follow Jeff's recipe to the letter, or you cut a few corners in order to save time, like I did here, the end result is still fantastic. This is a macaroni and cheese recipe that's certain to keep your family and friends coming back for more.
