Using Triads For Jazz Phrases

Описание к видео Using Triads For Jazz Phrases

Here's a #shorts video of using an Enclosure concept to turn a Triad into a longer Jazz line.

For this descending idea, I'm playing over an Am11 sound but thinking C Major (the relative Major of A Minor). I use an Enclosure to target the chord tones of a C Major Triad and use descending scale tones to move to each chord tone (there's a chromatic thrown in to maintain the rhythmic phrasing).

This phrase is from a detailed step by step PDF which you can find on my Patreon page. The PDF explains this Enclosure concept with examples, applications, patterns, and exercises which will help add this sophisticated chromatic Jazz language into your improvising.
