The World Choir Games Gangneung 2023 kicked off on July 3, 2023 in Gangneung Arena, Republic of Korea. The Opening Ceremony featured the entry of nations and welcome speeches by official representatives of the Games, among them INTERKULTUR President Günter Titsch, and a presentation of the Official Song of the World Choir Games named "You are music" by Korean composer Woo Hyo-won. The Gangneung City Choir, Wonju City Choir, and Chuncheon City Choir accompanied the performances, led by the Gangneung City Symphony Orchestra.
