Wall-E Review | An Agenda To the Face

Wall-E, released 2008, has all of the Pixar staples: fantastic character design, a wide world to explore, and the ability to say a lot with just the animation. It also has a lesson to be learned... except it's not the characters learning it this time. The lesson's targeted at us, the audience.

That's not bad by itself. But when the main characters don't care about this message, and the movie spends unnecessary time away from them just to hammer in the idea, something's not right.

(Yes, I agree with the message. It's a good message. Just please get it out of my face.)
